I am 37, Aquarius, born in the year of the dog, married with 3 kids, a dog owner and I like Irish whiskey.

For the last 7 Years I  worked for AcousticSolutions Limited who are based in Northampton, my role was as Director of new product development and marketing.
Notable successes whilst working at Acoustic Solutions have been:

Working with Fremantlemedia to win license to apply Pop Idol branding on consumer electronic products. Within 2 years this brand had generated in excess of £10million sales for Acoustic Solutions, and placed the company as the highest contributor of license royalty payments to Fremantle Media of any Pop Idol licensee.

I worked with the largest industrial design company in the world; IDEO, to create an attractive yet cost effective DAB portable radio which would be exclusively launched in conjunction with Argos. During a very short lead time of only 6 months, we were able to take a conceptual design and deliver finished product to the customer, and also achieve a ground breaking price point in the process. Since then the Portal 1 and Portal 2 DAB radios from Acoustic Solutions have matured into a timeless classics which sit comfortably amongst the barrage of new modern offerings from other manufacturers.

I worked closely with Acoustic Solutions before joining them in 2000 developing the first consumer ‘DJ’ products aimed at the youth market. In September 2000 they launched their first model ‘Kit1’ which achieved a milestone; ‘DJ’ing’ for less than 200 pounds. The product won the PLASA product excellence award when it was launched and since then Acoustics’ brand Homemix has become the benchmark for entry level DJ’s worldwide with total sales now exceeding 150,000 pieces.

Prior to working at Acoustic Solutions Limited I was a director for LEAF Electronics Limited from Northern Ireland heading up a division called Entertainment Technology Limited. I was responsible for the development and sales of a range of pro audio and consumer DJ equipment.

Prior to that I was the sales manager for the assembly division of a sub contract manufacturing company called Ipswich Electronics Limited based in Suffolk. I was responsible for the selling the capacity of the manufacturing plant and successfully grew the manufacturing division to represent 50% of the entire turnover of the company.

I have been involved in the electronics manufacturing industry for over 15 Years, I have always maintained that;

'who in their right mind would be involved in electronics manufacturing, what can go wrong definitely will'
