Kirsty Tyler Evans - Marketing manager

I am 25 and in the long, strenuous process of looking for my first house with my boyfriend of five years. I do not have any children or pets at present but hope to get a dog when we are settled.

Studying for my A-levels help me realize where my skills and passions lay. I went on to take a Higher National Diploma in Multimedia at Northampton College where I achieved a distinction overall. The digital imagery based modules were the ones I enjoyed the most and wanted to learn more in-depth about.

Following my goal, in 2006 I graduated with a 2:1 Bachelors Degree in Creative Design with Marketing from Northampton University.

My design education has supplied me a wide fluency of software and hardware. I am proficient in the use of PCs and Apple Macs and gained knowledge on a number of industry standard software including Photoshop, Illustrator, QuarkXpress, Indesign, Director, Flash, Cinema 4D go and Dreamweaver.

Since graduating, I began working for a new jewellery retailer as a sales consultant. Six months later I was promoted to a senior member of staff, which entailed increased responsibility and becoming a key holder. I was involved with the designing of incentive vouchers and provided direction for promotional vinyl’s and website design. Working for a young company not only increased my confidence with customers and suppliers, but also given me an insight into the challenges of running a small business.

I have completed a number of freelance projects since graduating. One project I found particularly rewarding was the layout design of a CD cover and inlay for a local folk band. The CD has been sold at live events and festivals across the country.

My core skills are:
Creative visualization
Idea generation
Spatial awareness
Attention to detail
And the outstanding capability of being relaxed and un-flustered

I am a calm but motivated individual who believes that with enough resilience and determination, anything can be achieved. Wherever I am, I try to learn and understand as much as I can and get the most out of every encounter. I am not someone who finds it sufficient to do the minimum expected of me.
